Final cast of Temptation Island remake: Marian, Heart, Lovi, and Solenn

Nagkaroon ng konting kalituhan dahil sa papalit-palit ng cast ng remake ng '80s classic Pinoy movie na Temptation Island ng Regal Entertainment at GMA Films.

Nabalita kasi noong una na kasama sa pelikula sina Andi Eigenmann, Carla Abellana, Shaina Magdayao, at Pokwang. Excited pa man din sina Andi at Carla sa kanilang interviews tungkol sa kanilang partisipasyon sa movie. Pero nawala nga sa listahan ng cast ang mga nabanggit na mga aktres.

Ngayon nga ay final na raw ang cast ng Temptation Island remake. Ito ay kinabibilangan nina Marian Rivera (gaganap sa role dati ni Azenith Briones), Heart Evangelista (sa role ni Dina Bonnevie), Lovi Poe (sa role ni Jennifer Cortez), Solenn Heussaff (sa role ni Bambi Arambulo), at Rufa Mae Quinto (sa role ni Deborah Sun).

Sa interview ng Tweetbiz Insiders ng GMA News TV Channel 11 na napanood kagabi, March 23, sinagot nina Heart, Lovi, Solenn, at Marian ang iba't ibang isyu kaugnay ng kanilang partisipasyon sa pelikula.

Unang sumagot si Heart tungkol sa tsismis na nag-backout daw siya sa movie dahil sa ilang sexy scenes. Hindi raw ito totoo, sabi ng aktres.

"No backing out. I don't know where that came from. It was always a go and we're going to shoot soon. I'm so excited for this movie," sabi pa ni Heart.

Hindi naman sigurado si Lovi kung hanggang saan siya magpapa-sexy sa pelikula.

Aniya, "You know, I'm not sure. Pero of course, pag kailangan sa role and [if it's] done tastefully, of course, yeah."

Si Solenn naman ay inaming kumuha pa ng tutor na magtuturo sa kanya ng Tagalog.

"I have a tutor for Tagalog. And then I think I will have one also sa set para maayos ang Tagalog ko," aniya.

Hindi naman naitago ni Marian ang excitement niya dahil kakaiba raw ang kanyang role sa movie.

"Kakaibang character ito kasi first time kong gumanap na kyondi," sabay tawa ni Marian. "Nakakatuwa pati pagsasalita niya. Pati pakikipag-away niya at kung gaano siya kalandi. First time kong gagawin ito."

Dagdag pa ni Marian, alam naman daw nila na memorable sa maraming tao ang original version ng Temptation Island na napanood noong 1980. Pero hindi naman daw nila gagayahin ito ng todo.

"Di naman porke ganun yung dati ay gagayahin naming lahat. Siguro yung mga eksena, mga line, siguro nandun pa rin kasi nandun yung punchlines, e. Pero siguro iyong mga damit namin, iba na. May mga mababago rin siyempre. At saka sexy naman ang cast namin, di ba?" saad ni Marian.

Gaganap naman bilang leading men sina Aljur Abrenica, Paulo Avelino, at Tom Rodriguez. Kasama rin sa cast sina John Lapus at Tim Yap.

Ididirek ni Chris Martinez ang bagong Temptation Island. Magsisimula na raw sila ng shooting sa Ilocos Norte sa April.

Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Solenn Heusaff will topbill the 2011 remake of Temptation Island

Four GMA-7 actresses will bring life to the remake of Temptation Island, the 1980 comedy directed by the late Joey Gosiengfiao. 

Marian Rivera, Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Solenn Heusaff will bring life to the beauty pageant contestants who are stranded on an island and begin hallucinating about food and other absurd objects. 

Marian will reprise the role of a con artist originally portrayed by Azenith Briones while Solenn brings life to a social climber originally played by Bambi Arambulo. 

According to a PEP source, Heart was uncomfortable about doing a  scene in the movie so she switched roles with Lovi Poe. The source also disclosed that Lovi did not mind exchanging roles with Heart because they are friends.

As a result, Lovi will now portray the role of a socialite originally played by Jennifer Cortez while Heart reprises the role of a college student originally played by Dina Bonnevie. 

Rufa Mae Quinto will reprise the role of Deborah Sun, the maid of Jennifer Cortez in the original film. Peachy (Rufa Mae's nickname) will be seen as the maid of Lovi's character in the 2011 remake. John "Sweet" Lapus is also part of the film as the gay pageant coordinator. 

The stars will begin shooting in Ilocos Norte by mid-April. 

Aljur Abrenica, Paulo Avelino, and Tom Rodriguez are also cast in Temptation Island as the leading men. 

Regal Films and GMA Films, the producers of the remake, are still looking for another male actor who will serve as the second love interest of Marian in the film. 

Chris Martinez will direct the remake of the movie Temptation Island. He also helmed the play Temptation Island: Live that was staged at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2003. Direk Chris also megged the comedy film Here Comes The Bride (2010) and "Gunaw" episode of My Valentine Girls (2011) starring Eugene Domingo and Richard Gutierrez.
