Former “Beauty Queen” and drama actress Iza will soon dabble in comedy as she was cast in GMA’s upcoming sitcom, “Andres de Saya” opposite Cesar Montano.
In a story published on gmanews.tv on April 8, Iza said that she’s nervous about the project despite “wanting to do comedy for such a long time.”
“Ngayon na nandito na parang, ‘Uh-oh, anong gagawin ko?’ But I trust that my director will also guide me and that the script will also be very good," she said.
The actress also expressed her excitement over finally working with Cesar and said that she’s “glad na he’s okay when working with me.”
“Kasi siyempre he has a very big say as to who he’s going to work with, and siyempre I’m honored that I get to be his partner. Sayang it’s not a heavy drama, but this is something very refreshing for me kasi first time kong magsi-sitcom,” the self-confessed kengkoy actress added.
In related news, Iza confirmed on April 7 via Twitter that she will be taking over the role of Regine Velasquez on "I Heart You Pare" after the latter was advised by her doctor to rest for a while due to "severe migraine attacks." Iza was apparently hand-picked by Regine.
